{My Man Mondays} V-neck Sweater

It is still freezing outside, so we are still talking winter attire here. Now let's talk v-neck sweaters. I have been trying to get Matt to wear one forever, but he is afraid if he does not wear ratty/old-and-nasty clothes that people will confuse him for a metrosexual, so instead he would rather be confused for the homeless.

Nonetheless, the v-neck sweater is great because it is versatile. You've got:

Work appropriate with just the collared shirt underneath,

More casual with just a tee under,

A v-neck sweater vest instead for those hot-blooded creatures,

And then the "ready for Sunday" look with a collared shirt and tie. 

So it looks like any day of the week is perfect for the v-neck sweater, and we didn't even go into fun patterns. If you don't think the v-neck sweater is spicy enough for your wardrobe, pick one that has a unique pattern on it. Oh the endless possibilities. Be aware that fashion trends are working more towards the slimmer fitting sweaters, so don't get too baggy with this look. Remember, we are not going for homeless.

{My Man Mondays} Preppy Boy

Something about this outfit screams preppy to me, but yet I love it. And sorry for the lack of picture with it all put together. I know this look has been done before, but for reason no one seems to have taken a picture of it, and Matt told me when I first started My Man Mondays that he would not be my model. (Even though I think he would make a super hot model :).

So, I pieced it together with my super handy Stylebook (I almost wanted to say "notebook". Been watching too many Blue's Clues with Link I think, lol).

This is so easy, and perfect while it is still chilly out. Men, just throw on a white tee, your favorite plaid long-sleeved shirt (unbuttoned, or buttoned, either one), and then a simple hooded zip-up jacket. Now it gets tricky: roll the sleeves up on the jacket and shirt TOGETHER so that the plaid shows on the outside. Now put on those old jeans of yours, some tennies (I like converse, or oxfords) and you are all set for a comfy, warm and stylish day.

Now go, men, and make me proud!

{My Man Mondays} The Man Scarf

Yes, most people are showing off their spring line already, but lets be honest here, it is still FREEZING. This is why, I am still sticking with winter fashions on this My Man Monday.

The man scarf is somewhat feared by men. But men, this is the time to embrace it. It is warm, cozy, and sexy. Not to mention, you don't have to change your style at all. Just throw on your tee and then the scarf over. Or, if you listened to last week and got a "Manigan" then you can throw THAT over a tee and then your scarf.

Oh the possibilities! Here are some guys who strut the scarf very well:

Yes, Jake is in a somewhat metro pose right here, but trust me, the ladies like the man scarf. We wear our heels for you, do our makeup everyday (mmmm, ok slight exaggeration for some, like me), and wear our "girlie" clothes. So do us a favor and just try it out, I think you will be pleased with the results.
