I love when I have treasures to share as well!! I found this beauty while thrifting, and I have to say, it reminds me of Pretty Woman. She never wears a jacket like this, but the style and color screams Julia Roberts in that movie :) LOVE it! {The jacket and the movie}

Sorry I have been MIA this WHOLE week! I have been crazy busy with my new job trying to get this manual formatted, but I didn't want to leave you hanging on Thrifty Thursday, because I LOVE to see what treasures you have found :)

This is a terrible picture, but it has in it TWO of my favorite thrifty treasures: my high-waisted pants, and my pink cropped floral silk shirt. Both vintage and both wonderful :) This picture really does not do them justice, sorry guys.

Sorry folks that I started this so late today! Here is my thrifty find that I altered and added to Hint of Vintage! It was just a bit saggy (like everything in the 80's) so I pulled up the puffy sleeves and brought up the length.

This was my vintage treasure I found, that I redesigned for my Etsy shop Hint of Vintage. I kept laughing in the before picture because Matt kept cracking jokes about how ugly it was. I think he changed his tune after he saw the alterations :)

{Thrifty Thursday} An Inspiration Book & Share Your Treasure

For this Thrifty Thursday, I wanted to share another tip that might help you while you are wandering through the thrift store, aimlessly.

Make an Inspiration Book:

Here is mine. I took a cute journal, one of my fashion magazines and started ripping out pictures of outfits or clothes that I liked. 

Then I started pasting them into the book. (I also did hair inspirations). I realized that turning down the corners of my favorite pages did not make it easy for me to get inspiration, nor did cut down on clutter because I was saving the whole magazine for just a few pictures. 

But when I started cutting the pictures out and pasting them all into one book, I learned a lot about my own personal style. I also noticed how much that helped while I was thrifting, because I had an idea of what I was looking for. Whether it was bohemian, anything floral or striped, or a cute skirt. It put a little more order to the thrifting chaos.

{Thrifty Thursday} Wander Aimlessly

Ok, still sick here, and now my boys are too, but I didn't want to leave you hanging any longer. These pants are one of my favorite thrifted treasures. So I decided to put a picture of them with two more tips to help you succeed during your next thrifting adventure.

#3. Wander Aimlessly: Even if you are looking for something specific, take a couple of minutes to just browse, that is usually when I find my favorite treasures. Venture out to a new section. Maybe you always just look at the shoes, try going down every pant isle, or blouse isle. Find something you like? Throw it in the basket and remember the most important thing is to try on EVERYTHING. That way you don't go home with something that doesn't fit right, or leave something that maybe would have fit better.

#4. Be Creative:  Thrift stores allow you to be creative with your style. Why? Because when you only have to pay 3.99 for a pair of pants, you are much more willing to try something a little different. So use your thrift store to help you step out of your comfort style box, and try a different style, or a new color.

I thought about how I always get to share my thrifty treasures with you, but how I don't get to share in your excitement when you get your own. So I found a solution (with the help of Clothed Much-thanks Elaine for teaching me that there was such a way possible!). You can add a picture of your thrifted treasure (either wearing it, or just a picture alone of the item) with a caption about why it is your favorite thrifted treasure.
