I Know Thrifty Thursday is Tomorrow

I just can't help it! Link and I went for an adventure today to the thrift store. Ok, really I dragged him along, but he was a great sport and even ended up getting some treasures of his own (a Sooner jersey! SOOO darling on him). Usually I have the best luck in the shoes and dresses department, but today I decided to stop by the pants and see what goodies I could find. This is when the magic happened. Seriously!

Ahhh! Can we say favorite find ever?! (geeze, can you tell I am excited?). I have been wanting pants like this for a while so it was like Christmas finding them for just 2 bucks. Yes, you heard right, 2 Dollars :)

Not only was I excited, but Matt actually told me that he loves them. Double bonus, friends because I wasn't quite sure how he would react to pants that could possibly have transported themselves from the 80's.

Don't worry, I still have a thrifty Thursday planned for tomorrow, I just couldn't help but wear these pants today. (Like I said, Christmas). And I am going to share some secrets about how to thrift for yourselves :)

Relaxing Day Failed

Well, I tried. Turns out having to pack and get everything ready to leave with my poor bed-ridden husband, doesn't leave a lot of time to relax and read my book. O'well. I bet I have loads of time when I get home :)

Now don't mind the squinty eyes, and weird faces. Not to easy taking pictures staring at the sun. I am seeing little spots (ok, not really).

Alright, I am still going to attempt some rest time! Dan Brown and I have a date with a big comfy chair and a nice blanket.

Laundry Day

Well, it is bad enough limiting my clothes selection to 26, but then you throw in laundry day and I had all of...mmm....three choices. Yes I understand that I could have gotten dressed AFTER laundry, but the problem is Matt and I only have a washer which means you wash it on one day, but don't get to wear it until it is dry the next :) But, alas, I actually liked my outfit today despite it's many challenges. Plus, take a little gander at the necklace I am wearing. I kind of love lock and key necklaces, and Hint of Vintage just put up some new ones.

Blazer: dress barn, shoes: can't remember, khakis: altered Aeropostale, Shirt: Ross, Necklace: Hint of Vintage

Here is a hanging collage of the lock and key necklaces :)

Well, I have to go do more laundry. Since husband's back it practically as useless as an 80-year-old man's it is kind of up to me. He got hurt playing basketball, poor guy, and has been pretty much out of commission. I should probably give him a kiss before laundry because kisses make it all better.

Show Off

Yes, I am admitting that I am a show-off. But once again I am excited that I was able to make something that turned out awesome. I made this bib necklace today, (tutorial) and I was pretty pumped to wear it and the best part is I didn't break an 26 for 26 rules because although it is new, I made it with left over fabric. And it is an accessory and I can have as many of those as I want right now. See? Awesome.

I would also like to take a moment, while I am being a show-off, to announce that I have finally beaten Matt in a game of Monopoly. After 4 years of marriage (well, it will be 4 this Wed), and many a games I have never beat him until last night. Boo-yah. It is not that I am a competitive person....wait, what? Of course I am! I am a Bailey. We call you names and beat you if we don't win. This might be why Matt said "I am kind of glad you won tonight". Oops. Maybe I should work on being a sore loser winner Ok, I obviously need to work on both.
